AIBC Young Professionals
In late 2014, AIBC WA initiated the AIBC Young Professionals (YPs) and since then this forum has gained significant momentum and interest from a wide range of young professionals and other groups.
The AIBC YPs, which currently exists as part of AIBC in WA, recognises the important role the youth of both countries will play in building the economic and business ties between the two nations. It aims to create an active and collaborative community of young West Australians and Indonesians by providing them with opportunities to network, discuss ideas and build leadership capabilities.
On May 7 this year, the AIBC YPs held its official launch in association with National Corporate Members, Norton Rose Fulbright. The event was a great success, and has helped generate support for the YPs and their initiatives.
The AIBC YPs have launched a Facebook and LinkedIn page as part of their wider engagement with young professionals. Both pages are used to promote events, distribute useful articles and encourage discussion about particular issues within Western Australia’s key industries.
It is envisaged that the AIBC YPs model will be rolled out in the other State Chapters this year.
There is a new Member category also for AIBC Young Professionals here, and to learn more about AIBC YPs, please contact Parris Burtenshaw.
