Opportunities & Risks in Indonesia's Mining & Resources Industries; A Conversation.
![]()
The Committee of AIBC Western Australia, and the AIBC Minerals, Energy and Industry Group, in partnership with Austmine, are pleased to invite you to an exclusive face-to-face conversation in Perth with Australian Jakarta-based senior foreign legal counsel, Bill Sullivan.
This special event will focus on industry information exchange with extended Q & A.
The issues: New opportunities and risks
The legal, policy and regulatory regime for Indonesia’s mining and natural resources industries is currently undergoing major changes in line with President Prabowo’s ambitious economic vision for Indonesia and how it is to be achieved. These changes create both new opportunities and new risks for Australian investors in the Indonesian mining industry as well as for Australian goods and services providers to the Indonesian mining industry. These new opportunities will be realised and these new risks will be avoided or at least minimised by those Australian investors and by those Australian goods and services providers who take the time to understand the nuances of the changing Indonesian legal, policy and regulatory regime and what these changes mean for them in terms of their current and future business/investment exposure to the Indonesian mining and natural resources industries.
Bill will lead an interactive roundtable discussion of the changing Indonesian legal, policy and regulatory regime and what these changes mean for Australian companies interested in the Indonesian mining and natural resources industries.
