Free Trade Agreement Modernisation Consultation Session - DARWIN /SOUTH AUSTRALIA /TASMANIA
The purpose of the consultation is to seek industry and stakeholder contributions towards modernising the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), 5 years since its inception in 2020.
AIBC is supporting an in-depth review and upgrade of IA-CEPA, in close partnership with Asialink Business and Justin Brown, former Deputy Secretary (Trade) at DFAT as our Subject Matter Expert on FTAs. Justin will facilitate the stakeholder consultations, which will take place across capital cities and sectors, combined with in-depth research and analysis to provide strategic recommendations to DFAT by late February 2026.
You are invited to a stakeholder consultation, which will take place in Darwin and also online. Please note the following time differences:
12:30pm - 2:00pm: Darwin (in-person)
1:30pm - 3:00pm: South Australia (online)
2:00pm - 3:30pm: Tasmania (online)
This presents a unique opportunity for AIBC members and friends to provide their input into updating, enhancing and modernising IA-CEPA to ensure that it remains relevant to Australian business.
