I’m pleased to share that I have recently taken on the role of Chair of the Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC) Food & Agriculture Group, following in the footsteps of Garry Embleton. Garry has been a long-standing and passionate advocate for this sector and continues to be actively involved in the group. I look forward to building on the strong foundation he has helped establish.

A bit about me – I’m currently based in Melbourne, where I serve as General Manager, Trade and Market Access at Grains Australia. I joined the organisation in early 2022, bringing with me nearly 30 years of experience across research, policy, and industry development in the agriculture sector, both in Australia and internationally. My career has been shaped by a strong focus on the relationship between Australia and Indonesia, and includes 16 years living and working in Indonesia.

You may have seen recent news about the signing of an MOU between Indonesia and the United States to strengthen cooperation in the dairy sector. This is a timely reminder of the value of deepening bilateral engagement and exploring further opportunities between the Australian and Indonesian agriculture and food industries.
