Dear Members and Friends,

AIBC is delighted to partner with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in presenting the first of its National Industry Series 2022: “Indonesia: It’s time to take a fresh look ”, focusing on the emerging opportunities in Indonesia's Blue Economy.

Indonesia is undergoing transformational change, offering Australian industry opportunities for partnering with Indonesia across a range of industry sectors – including The Blue Economy. The Indonesian government has placed a high priority on developing the country's Blue Economy, including in sustainable capture fisheries and aquaculture, coastal tourism, marine construction, and sea transportation. Australia’s expertise in this sector will provide Indonesia with invaluable resources for developing new and innovative partnerships, investment and trade.

Under the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), and the Joint Declaration on Maritime Cooperation, Australian businesses benefit from improved market access and opportunities.

Join us in person or online, featuring keynote addresses by the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre on the exciting opportunities emerging in this sector.

You will also hear from a distinguished panel sharing their insights on this important sector and on why “It’s time to take a fresh look at Indonesia”.  For those attending in person the event will be followed by networking with afternoon refreshments.
