Dear Members and Friends,

AIBC, in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), invite you to attend the second event of the National Industry Series 2022: “Indonesia: It’s Time To Take A Fresh Look”, focusing on Indonesia's Energy and Resources Transition.

Australia’s resources and energy services sectors have long had a good reputation for best practice in Indonesia.

With Indonesia seeking to secure its resources and energy future by moving beyond basic mining, Australian businesses are well placed to take advantage of opportunities to partner with Indonesia across a range of industry sectors – including minerals, resources and METS.

The Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) provides greater legal certainty for Australian businesses to maintain majority ownership in vocational training, contract mining services and mine site preparation services, and specific energy infrastructure.

Complementing IA-CEPA, the Blueprint for Trade and Investment with Indonesia provides practical advice to Australian businesses to take advantage of new opportunities in resources and energy services in Indonesia.

Join us for breakfast to hear keynote addresses from Indonesia’s Ambassador to Australia HE Dr Siswo Pramono and Austin Engineering CEO, Mr David Singleton on the exciting opportunities emerging in Indonesia’s mining, energy and METS sectors.

You will also hear from a distinguished panel sharing their insights on why “It’s time to take a fresh look at Indonesia”.

For those attending the event in person, a light breakfast will be served. Those unable to attend in-person may join virtually.
