Indonesian Independence Day Networking

Dear AIBC Queensland members and friends,

The members of the AIBC Queensland Committee invite you to join them in our first face-to-face social event of the year, to be held on Monday 17 August.  The date is significant, because it is Indonesian Independence Day. To celebrate the occasion, the Brisbane City Council will be lighting up the Story Bridge, Victoria Bridge and Brisbane City Council with the red and white colours of the Indonesian flag.

While we are looking forward to meeting with you, we need your assistance to comply with Queensland public health regulations.  We will have to provide your personal details to the venue – name, address and mobile number – and you will be required to keep a safe social distance.

It is also important to note that you should not attend if, on the day of the event or leading up to it:

  • You have a temperature or flu-like symptoms;
  • You have been in contact with a diagnosed COVID-19 patient;
  • You have been overseas or interstate in the last two weeks.

Note:           *Cost includes a free drink on arrival.  Drink options include beer, cider,
                     wine and soft drinks.

RSVP:         To register, please click here before COB Friday, 14 August.
                   Please note registrations for this event are essential with only 30 tickets
                    available due to current  health regulations.

If you have any questions, please contact me via email at

Please further note, due to new COVID-19 Restrictions, the Venue (Mr Percival's) requires the address of all attendees. Please include where indicated and note, this information will not be distributed to any third party. Thank you for your co-operation.
