The acceleration and expansion of Indonesia’s economic development are supported by its demographic potential, the abundance of its natural resources, and by its geographical advantages.
Although Indonesia’s fundamentals are strong, achieving a high level of growth will not happen automatically. A number of challenges must be overcome in order to realise the sustainable development for a successful Indonesia.
Serving with Indonesia’s Trade Minister and Chairman of the BKPM, Bapak Gita Wirjawan, Bapak Tamba Hutapea, is responsible for the formulation of national planning for investment in a range of sectors across the regions, including assurance that investments fall in line with Indonesia’s Investment Guidelines (Rencana Umum Penanaman Modal/RUPM). Pak Tamba supervises four directorates overseeing investment planning of Infrastructure, Agribusiness and Other Natural Resources, Manufacturing Industry, Infrastructure, Service and Economic Zone.
